2nd Division High Ormlie Hotspur won a dramatic play-off versus 1st division Wick Thistle on penalties at a very wet Morrison Park, Halkirk. Watched by a huge crowd, Spurs were leading 3-2 with 5 mins left and their goalie Asa Sinclair saved a penalty. Thistle then scored direct from a corner in the last minute (thanks to a strong wind) to take the tie into extra time.
Asa Sinclair was the Spurs hero by saving 2 penalties in the shoot out. A cracking game with plenty of goalmouth action and some fantastic saves by both James More and Asa Sinclair. The packed stand applauded the great action on numerous occasions.
